© to danii @ caution '' take your past and burn it up and let '' it go , c a r r y on i'm s t r o n g e r than you'll ever know Ksea was never one to sleep in late in the morning. The latest she probably slept being on the tour so far was probably around nine o'clock, and many times she was the only awake then. Everyone else was usually passed out drunk, had a hangover, or so fucked on drugs that they were boring to be around. She didn't really mind being the only one awake; sometimes it was a refreshing. Other times, though, she got immensely bored and wished that she had at least some company.
But this morning was a morning like any other. She woke up and tiptoed about the bus, making sure to wake up Emilia or Luxio. She adored the two of them; they were both photogenic, which was a huge plus for Ksea. It was so incredibly hard to photograph people who weren't, obviously, but she was glad she got stuck with such an amazing pair of people. Silently, she slipped into the bathroom to get ready for the day. She figured she'd head over to Starbucks with her camera for the time being until more people begin to awaken. Minutes later she slid out of the bathroom. She grabbed her camera off of the counter and headed out.
It was a nice day out. It wasn't warm yet, but it was certainly getting there. She didn't have to wear her big coats anymore, or her heavy winter sweaters. Now, she could settle for a light hoodie with a shirt underneath. She liked this weather, but she did love winter as well, especially the first snowfall when the snowflakes powder the streets like fried dough at a fair. She smiled to herself as she walked, suddenly yearning for the fried dough at the city's fair in Connecticut.
As she walked, Ksea took in her surroundings. She hadn't really gotten out much, so she thought this was a pleasant walk. She snapped a few photos of the beautiful scenery of Maine; she had been here once on vacation with her foster parents, and was glad to be able to come back. Finally, she reached Starbucks, and entered. It was smaller than ones in Boston but much larger than ones in Connecticut. She smiled.
She strolled over to the counter and smiled at the young girl working behind the counter. "Welcome to Starbucks, how may I help you?" the girl said softly. She seemed like she was still waking up and could use some caffeine herself. Ksea examined the menu above the counter for a moment before responding. "Um, may I have a caffè mocha and a blueberry scone, please?" She watched as the girl moved about. For someone who looked quite tired, she moved around quickly, and within moments had Ksea's order ready. She smiled and paid, moving over to a table by the window.
Ksea glanced around. There was only one other person there, who seemed to be way into the newspaper. Quietly, and almost creepily, she snapped a picture of him sitting there on a couch with his legs crossed and nose in the paper. She smiled. She broke small pieces off of her scone and began to eat them, wondering how long she would have to sit here and wait for other people to wake the hell up.

YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE YOUR EYES if ten million fireflies lit up THE WORLD AS I FELL ASLEEP
Right Right, time to start the day, as it was far too difficult to just sit in bed and do nothing. Once he was up, he as up. He had to get up and move regardless that Venus didn’t like waking up alone. He always figured she’d get used to it by now. Anyway, he had to get out. The feeling, it was far too powerful. He hated feeling so trapped on that bus, so crampt, no room to just..Let go. He had hated that feeling, since he was a restless soul. He hadn’t had any time to explore Maine at all since they got here, so he took today as the perfect timing.
Plus it was a real nice morning, not damp, sunny even. Spring was often like that, not too bad or wet either. Damp hair was no on his agenda at the moment, not when he spent a good enough time on styling it, slightly. It was just a quick wander, so he didn’t need to spend too much time on getting ready. There wasn’t much point on a casual day like right now. Wandering out of the bus, he deciphered on where to go. Because he didn’t have an exact plan, he never did. Going by the flow was his usual motto. Sure it wasn’t reliable but that had never been his friend.
Ruffling a hand through his hair briefly, he started on his walk, not really sure where he was going exactly. He isn’t great with directions, which was hardly all that surprising, taking everything into consideration. He always forgot something , especially if to take a right or not. But today like most days, he didn’t really care.
Getting out was just a bonus, even if he was supposed to be practising, although that was later on. So he figured he wouldn’t be in too much trouble, hopefully. Grinning to himself like an idiot, he found himself trawling down the streets, past a few stores. Glancing at the window of a jewellery store, he let his emerald eyes scan the items for a few seconds. ”Hmm...no he thought then suddenly frowned. Not such a good idea, he was far too indecisive and not the greatest at picking out jewellery. That and he hardly had money on him, as per usual.
Turning away, he spotted a local Starbucks and just wandered in. He needed a break from doing...absolutely nothing. It wouldn’t do any harm, especially since the fact he wasn’t doing anything important. Pushing open the door, he noticed how quiet it was. So unlike the tour bus or the site at all. Unfortunate, though made sense because of the time. Not many people were early risers, like himself.
He was rather energetic, yet he felt the need for a little pick up. Making his way up to the counter, he ordered a Iced Caffè Mocha and was about to find when he spotted a girl nearby, who just so happened to take a picture of the man a bit a ways of way. He noticed at the corner of his eye, it was definitely just a bit weird, though, each to their own. Looking in her direction, he inched closer, though trying not to be imposing. That would be awkward.
”Do you know that person or do you just take pictures of random guys?” he wondered out loud, and then moved to the seat opposite. ”Mind if I sit here?” he asked, politely, as he didn’t want to be alone, that was no fun, at all.

© to danii @ caution '' take your past and burn it up and let '' it go , c a r r y on i'm s t r o n g e r than you'll ever know Ksea continued to pick at her scone, taking small sips of her drink now and then. She began to get lost in her own mind, which was never a safe place when she was alone. She almost laughed at that thought, but then she'd probably seem crazy, so she held it in. She stared down into her coffee as it swirled about in it's cup, and that at her scone as she picked it apart with her dainty fingers. She tilted her head to the side lightly as she wondered where the beach was. She would love to get shots of the ocean, even though she had many in her portfolio back on the bus and at home.
Just as she reached for her drink, Ksea heard someone speak to her. ”Do you know that person or do you just take pictures of random guys?” She gasped and jumped, hitting the table with her knee. She quickly grabbed the coffee before any of it could spill, and she looked at the unexpected guest with a red face. "Uh, n-no," she stuttered, her heart still racing. "It just looked like it would make a good picture. I guess I was being kind of weird." She smiled at him, but dropped her eyes to her coffee, now slightly embarrassed. Of course she would get caught doing something creepy; just her luck.
She motioned to the seat in front of her. "Oh gosh no, go right ahead. No one is sitting there, obviously." She laughed lightly, her pulse slowly going back to normal. It was still clear that she was startled, because as she reached for her drink her hand shook slightly. She took in a deep breath and took a sip, calming herself. That was one of the reasons why her mind wasn't a safe place - she was frightened much more easily after she had been wandering around in her mind for a bit.
Another reason is because Ksea usually comes up with crazy ideas. Granted, they're funny crazy ideas, but crazy nonetheless. Even worse than that was bringing them to fruition. She had a lot of friends in foster care, and although they weren't allowed out often, when they were they did some of Ksea's crazy ideas. Like shopping cart races. She and her friends found some shopping carts, made a starting line at the top of a hill and a finish line at the bottom, then off they went. Definitely not one of her best ideas.
Needless to say, that was the first time she broke her arm. One of her friends fractured her ankle, and one had a broken finger. Of course, none of them were allowed back out for a few months, but they had the memory of that day and that was all that mattered. She frowned lightly. She missed them, and wondered where they ended up. She made a mental note to look them up later.
She smiled across the small table to her guest. "I'm Ksea Rush, photographer for I Roar. And I'm not as crazy or creep as you may think that I am." She laughed lightly and pushed the dark hair from her eyes. She wondered why she didn't bother to put it up; it was always getting in her face. "And whom, may I ask, is the man who nearly gave me a heart attack?" She grinned and broke off another piece of her scone, eating it.

YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE YOUR EYES if ten million fireflies lit up THE WORLD AS I FELL ASLEEP
Anordinary day as such would be boring if he were alone. He needed something; any sort of human communication or else...he would end up bored. Trivial, though Luka didn’t know if he could last the whole day without saying a word. Most likely not. Even if it were mindless drivel, on his part mostly, it would be something. And he bored everyone in his entire band. So time to annoy someone else? Hopefully, it wouldn’t be that bad, he was a good enough listener, when he wanted to be. Even to those who took random photographs.
He was somewhat jealous, as the last time he tried to work a camera, it landed in the ocean, after an unfortunate incident trying to take a picture of a ‘whale’ that actually turned out to be an old piece of cardboard. Those old memories ran through his head absent-mindedly as he took the seat opposite the girl with a light grin. He set the iced coffee in front of him, his hands resting on the cold glass. He much proffered a cold beverage to the warmer ones that often burnt his tongue. It came as no surprise that he was that careless when preoccupied.
Right now, his mind was not too puzzled, as there wasn’t much to think about. Other than enjoy the day while it lasted. As he had to endure practise later, the joy. Doing nothing was far more exciting, as a lazy day was what he was after. Stressful weeks often did that to him. Shaking that to one side, he took a small sip of his coffee.
”Nah! Actually it’s pretty cool. I’m not that great with a camera” he smiled, hands idly sitting on the counter, resisting the urge to the drum the edge. He was often that fidgety. "Well it’s nice to meet you, Ksea, though i can safely say, despite only just meeting you, I don’t think you’re crazy. I’ve met weird people before and I don;t think you;re one. You're not as bad as me, so that's a plus?” he started to ramble slightly with a chuckle.
”At least i managed to accomplish something this morning. Luka, Luka Rian, I’m the drummer for Madisyn Lane.” he tried to be polite, stretching out his hand across the table, like what normal people did when they greeted people, right? Manners were never his forte. ”Scaring people seems to be the only thing I’m good at, today anyway” he shook his head with a chuckle., taking another sip of his drink.

© to danii @ caution '' take your past and burn it up and let '' it go , c a r r y on i'm s t r o n g e r than you'll ever know Ksea saw something out of the corner of her eyes and turned her head to look out the window. She saw a teen-aged girl walking what seemed to be a puppy but looked like a black dust bunny. The girl was still in her pajamas - like most people probably should be at this time - but seemed almost excited to be walking her new pet. Ksea smiled and thought of her three dogs at home. She missed them terribly; they were here best friends. She resisted the urge to run out of the coffee shop to go pet it. Last time she did that she was accused of assault when all she did was want to pet a little doggie!
But that's just Ksea. She may not the brightest crayon in the box, but she certainly is the most interesting color. Her outgoing nature tended to frighten people off, and although she was always told to keep her friendly nature down a little bit, she never did and never would. She was who she was, and if people couldn't accept it then that was fine by her."Well it’s nice to meet you, Ksea, though I can safely say, despite only just meeting you, I don’t think you’re crazy." She held up a hand, smiling. "Trust me, you'll probably change your mind in about five to ten minutes." She grinned.
"At least I managed to accomplish something this morning. Luka, Luka Rian, I’m the drummer for Madisyn Lane." She smiled, reaching to shake his outstretched hand. "Well it is a pleasure to meet you, Luka!" She smiled, tilting her head to the side slightly. "Drummer? Really? That's very interesting! I was never good with drums. Or any musical instrument, for that matter." And that was, without a doubt, true. She liked being a photographer though, that was how she ended up here. Even if she could play some instrument, it probably wouldn't have been good enough to get herself into an awesome band.
But again, Ksea was happy. As she thought about it she probably wouldn't give up being a photographer for anything. She sipped her warm drink, sighing softly as it made it's way down her throat. She looked down at what was left of the scone. There was still half left, but she wasn't hungry, she wasn't even hungry in the first place. She pushed it away from her, looking back up and smiling. "Scaring people seems to be the only thing I’m good at, today anyway."
She waved a hand. "Well I wouldn't have been scared if you hadn't snuck up on me!" She laughed. "I don't think you're scary at all. But perhaps it's like how you think I'm not crazy - I might change my mind in a certain amount of time." She smiled, her blue eyes shining in the dim sunlight. She sipped her drink again and tucked her hair behind her ear. "So, Mr. Rian," she began, "what brings you out of your slumber so early in the morning? I thought most people would still be passed out from late night festivities." She grinned.

YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE YOUR EYES if ten million fireflies lit up THE WORLD AS I FELL ASLEEP
Just sitting still was difficult, yet he was grateful for the break. There was just so walking one person could do in a day, even a restless guy like himself. Sitting, fairly calm, he listened to the girl, paying as much attention as he could. Normally this wasn’t alot but he was rather bored today and having a polite conversation seemed to dull it down. Plus, there was no harm in socialising, right? That’s what he thought, because he wasn’t a shy guy, friendly, outgoing. And perhaps a bit of an idiot at times. But he didn’t really care, not most days. He had the best job –and girl- in the world, so in more ways than one, he found himself to be lucky.
Leaving his drink to the side, he found he was getting too much of a sugar rush. Too sweet at this time of morning. He lightly grinned at her statement, as it as the exact same of him. He was undoubtedly worse, as he had been told many times. ”Right, so I should be searching for that straightjacket anytime soon?” he teased, not being able to help himself. He just hoped she would be that time of girl to take it took much of an offence, like some highly strung ones.
”I suppose so..but it just came natural to me, music wise. Everyone is different.” he shrugged, playing with the spoon on the table. ”Drums, like any instrument is easy to pick up, if you put enough effort into it” he nodded, a serious comment for once. He gently placed the spoon back on the table, resisting the uncontrollable urge to fidget to his heart’s content.
”True, true. I’m sure you would, I can be pretty scary I would have you know. Only when I want to be, it’s pretty subjective really” he babbled, leaning back onto the seat.
”Hmm? Oh I dunno really. I can’t sleep in, for some reason. Once the sun’s out, I usually am, no matter what the time is, I’m restless like that. I’m not into partying much so yeah. Not that I’m dull it’s just, i don’t see the point, when I’m happy enough” he shrugged lightly.
”You’re an early riser too then, I’m guessing?” he questioned, sipping his drink now.

© to danii @ caution '' take your past and burn it up and let '' it go , c a r r y on i'm s t r o n g e r than you'll ever know Ksea began to hum ever so softly - she didn't want to do it too loud, because that'd seem rude and she was far from that. But she did need to keep her mind occupied while talking, so she hummed. It was like that with most conversations, and she had gotten rude remarks from it because people thought she wasn't listening when they spoke. It was quite the opposite, actually. When her mind was doing two things at once, it helped her focus better. In high school she always had at least one earphone in her ear, simply because being slightly preoccupied with that made her focus better.
It was the same as right now. To actually pay attention to something someone says, Ksea's brain needed to be doing something else, too. She had gone to the doctor multiple times simply because of her over active brain, and she had also been told multiple times she had ADHD. She was offered to take medication, but she refused. Why would she want to act like something she wasn't? She wanted to see people for who she was, always.
Still to this day, whenever she sees her doctor or just any doctor in general, they say that she has an attention problem. It gets annoying, but it's amusing at the same time when she acts even more weird and crazy then usual just to piss them off. She almost giggled at that now, but didn't. It had barely been five minutes yet, and she didn't want to show him just how weird she was. Six and half minutes was her record, she wanted to see if she could beat it.
"Right, so I should be searching for that straight jacket anytime soon?" Ksea grinned, shrugging slightly. "That's probably a good idea. You never know when I might get extra nuts, so bring in reinforcements, too." She laughed lightly. This guy didn't seem too bad, and she enjoyed his company so far. Maybe he would accept her weirdness and wouldn't get scared off like so many others were. She could only hope. "Drums, like any instrument is easy to pick up, if you put enough effort into it."
She nodded slowly, observing him fiddling with the spoon. She wondered if he was fidgety like her, but she wasn't going to ask. "That's like the same thing with photography," she noted. "But everyone has that one thing they're extremely good at. Yours happens to be drumming, mine happens to be photography. Honestly, I wouldn't want to do anything other than what I do now."
She smiled and grabbed her camera, snapping a photo of him quickly. She set the camera onto her lap gently, holding it. "Sorry, couldn't help myself." She gestured toward the sun streaming through the window. "The lighting was simply perfect and I couldn't pass that up." She grinned. She realized then that she probably did seem odd when she took the photo of the guy she didn't know, who was still sitting there on the couch with a newspaper. For a moment she believed that he was a cardboard cut out, then he flipped a page and she laughed lightly.
"Hmm? Oh I dunno really. I can’t sleep in, for some reason. Once the sun’s out, I usually am...you're an early riser too then, I'm guessing?" Ksea laughed, shaking her head. "Oh, gosh, no," she replied, her feet tapping on the ground softly. "I only seem for like, four or five hours a night. I think I have some form of insomnia..." She paused, her brows furrowing in thought. After a moment she shrugged. "That, or my mind is way more active than I thought!" She chuckled and sipped her drink.
