Red strolled slowly around the venue, looking around at all of the stands and people surrounding him. It was about midday, and his band was currently rehearsing. He wasn't needed at rehearsals, of course, so decided to take the opportunity to take a look around, and get to know the place a little better.
Being new in a place so full of life was quite hard. Everybody in the bands seemed to know each other, yet he barely even knew the names of the people in his own band. He pictures their faces in his mind, trying to put faces to names. He could only remember Selene and Jonah. He was sure that one of them was called Andrew, or something similar, but he never was good with names. It was even a great effort to remember his own name. Which is Beaker. Of course..
He scuffed his feet along the ground, glad that it wasn't muddy. The weather was warming up ever so slightly from the snowy months of December and January, but the air still had a bite to it, sending chills down his spine. He tended not to notice the temperature all that much though, due to terrible blood circulation, so his hands and feet were always freezing anyway.
Arty began to bounce a little in his step, examining all of the merch on the stands. He wasn't sure which band was playing on the stage right now, but as far as he could tell from his poor reading skills, it was something to with a Lawyer and woman called Sue. He quite liked their music, actually, compared to the band that he'd previously heard, Go. No. Stop! In his opinion, they couldn't be called music artists at all. It was more just.. screaming. Not unlike a dying whale crossed with a lion having sex.
He was somebody waving in his direction, and tried to recall whether or not he knew them. Had he seen them somewhere before? He wasn't sure. It didn't ring a bell at all. He felt rude not waving back, so spread a wide grin across his features, and waves frantically back, walking hastily in their direction. The girl that was waving at him pulled a face at him, and whispered (shouted? he couldn't tell with this amount of noise) something in her friend's ear. Red turned around, and saw that there were two other girls, almost identical to the ones in front of him; platinum blonde hair, tiny waist, wearing far too little clothes for the weather. Their expression mirrored the other girls' also. Then it clicked in his mind that they'd been waving to each other, not to him. His cheeks flushed a red color, almost the color of Beaker's hair, and he looked down, biting his lip.
After trying to hide his face and run from the girls, he took a deep breath and leant against a stray pole, relieved that he'd probably never see those girls again. He silently begged for somebody that he knew, or at least somebody that was friendly, to come and talk to him. Not knowing many people really sucked. He just wanted to know everybody's names, make some friends, and develop the ability to remember if hew knew people or not.. Evidently that would take a few years.

¡ WE MADE PLANS TO BE UNBREAKABLE ¡ LOVE WAS ALL WE KNEW¡ NO INSURANCE FOR THE UNTHINKABLE¡ BLINDLY GET US THROUGH « « « « « « « « « « « « « « « «.. !» » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » Rain slammed hard against the windows of the hotelroom that Autumn currently occupied, and thankfully it was helping lull the fussy Kiara to sleep. She had been diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection, and no matter how hard Autumn tried to keep the 13 month old healthy it never seemed to work. After a few hours of singing, rocking and cuddling, Kiara finally shut her eyes and allowed herself to drift off to sleep. With a sigh, Autumn kissed the top of her head and set her down in the cradle near the bed. She sat down on the bed and slumped her shoulders, looking at her bare feet and running an exhausted hand through her hair. How long had it been since Autumn had gotten a night to herself?
Oh right, 13 months. But she was a mother now, she didn't get nights off anymore. She had chosen to keep this baby, so she had chosen to write her young life away. Sometimes she just wished she'd gotten the...
"Are you out of your MIND?" Amber's brain screamed, and she had to resist the urge to hurl a pillow across the room.
She really needed to stop thinking like this. Peering over the edge of the cradle at her sleeping daughter, she physically winced. How could she ever blame her problems on that innocent, beautiful baby?
"I'm a selfish bitch," she said out loud, standing up and turning the baby monitor near Amber's head on, carrying the other one with her.
Amber set off to make another bottle, but paused at the edge of the kitchen, staring at a photograph. It was a picture of her with her mother and father, who was in his army fatigues, alongside her two younger brothers. Before Amber was pregnant and had really gotten into her relationship with Damien, before things had gotten complicated and she had been kicked out, before her innocent life ended.
*COUGH!*
The loud sound from the baby monitor, which Amber had accidentally turned all the way up, caused her to jump sky high and drop the picture, which shattered into a million pieces on the floor. Angrily slamming the baby monitor down on the counter and bending to pick up the pieces, she held two shards of glass in her hand.
"Oh, shit!" she swore, holding her finger.
A small droplet of blood had formed on her fingertip to match the tears welling in her eyes. With this she stared at the shattered pictureframe, far more than a symbol, and sat down, leaning her head back against the counter. Tears poured down her cheeks and she buried her face in her arms.
A knock on the door alerted her to the babysitter, and not a second too soon. Autumn didn't like leaving Kiara with the sitter, but sometimes she just needed to get away. So she made a b-line for the venue and decided to wander around for a few hours.
Instead she found herself sitting near the It's All Love merch table, rubbing the stray tears out of her eyes.

Feeling slight flustered with embarrassment, Red ran his fingers through his red hair, pulling on it slightly, and blew out a sigh of frustration. He looked around. Every single person that he looked at was walking along with a friend. Nobody was alone. Nobody. That fact made him feel even more alone that he had before.. Damn it.
He dug his heels into the soft ground, and clenched his fists for a second, then set off in the direction of It's All Love's merch table. He did know the merch kid ever so slightly, so perhaps they could get a little conversation out of that. Unless it was excessively busy, which Red doubted very much.
As he approached the table, he saw Autumn sitting alone. He'd only just met her, but already he'd warmed nicely to her. He waved frantically at her, and skipped over to her. It took him a while, but he noticed a stray tear streaming down her face. He was hit with the usual need to comfort and protect her. What could possibly have made her cry? Had somebody hurt her?
He hurriedly sat beside her on the bench and wrapped an arm around her shoulder. "Autumn! Are you okay?!" he asked, pulling her closer still. "What's wrong? You look all sad and.. I don't like it. How can I help?!" he pressed, hoping that the comfort he offered was making her feel better rather than irritating her. He knew that some people hated having so many questions asked when they were upset, but he just felt as though he should help, especially when the person was one of his only friends.
Words: 304 Notes: Sorry it's so short but.. I didn't really know how to respond.

Her expression brightened when he sat down next to her and wrapped an arm around her shoulders. However, he noticed her tearful expression and immediately asked what was wrong. Autumn didn't mind at all. Being along most of the time made it really nice to actually have someone around who cared a little bit about you. Doing things on her own had gotten pretty old as of late.
"Oh, it's nothing. I'm just stressed out and being a wimp is all," she replied, chuckling with embarrassment and looking at her feet. "I just left Kiara with the sitter for the day, she's been sick for about a week, then I broke something important and... it's one of those days."
She lifted her head a bit and smiled, pulling her legs to her chest and wiped off her glasses, having not felt like going through the effort of putting in contacts that morning since she'd been up early.
"Don't worry, I'm not usually this much of a crybaby, I promise," she laughed, settling comfortably in the crook of his shoulder.

Red frowned, and pulled her closer, squeezing her arm lightly, hoping that that small action would somehow make her feel a little better. "Aw, it's okay," he cooed, feeling genuinely sorry for her. He expected it was quite hard for her being on tour alone with a kid. "You're not being a wimp at all. Everyone gets stressed sometimes, and it's okay to be upset."
Red genuinely hoped that she would be okay soon. He didn't know her tremendously well yet, but he did know enough about her to know that sometimes she'd need a friend, and right then was one of those times. He was more than happy to be her shoulder to cry on, or whatever it was she felt like doing.
Ohh no, Kiara's sick?! What's up with her? I hope it's not serious!" He bit his lip slightly as his eyebrows furrowed, forming a little crease between his eyebrows. He never liked it when anybody was sick, but especially babies. They were so defenseless and cute.. Everything was so adorable in the first year of its life, like Madisyn's baby chinchilla.. that was seriously adorable. He couldn't help but wonder where Madi and Phoenix were at that moment, but brought his attention back to Autumn for a moment, not wanting to get distracted.
"What did you break? I'm sure it's replaceable, isn't it? And, if it's one of those days, just think that the day will be over soon, and then you can look back on today and be happy that today will then be yesterday, and tomorrow will be better."

¡ WE MADE PLANS TO BE UNBREAKABLE ¡ LOVE WAS ALL WE KNEW¡ NO INSURANCE FOR THE UNTHINKABLE¡ BLINDLY GET US THROUGH « « « « « « « « « « « « « « « «.. !» » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » A small smile surfaced on Autumn's gloomy looking face, and she wrinkled her nose a bit like she always did when she smiled. It was something she'd never been able to help. Red didn't know her very well, but he was certainly a great hand at making her feel better. Pushing a lock of hair behind her ears, she shrugged and shook her head as he mentioned Kiara.
"She has a upper respiratory infection. Again. This is like, the third time," she said exasperatedly, not at the baby but at herself. "No matter what I do I can't keep that kid healthy. I've tried everything except for an airproof bubble."
Autumn pulled her knees to her chest and placed her chin on them, furrowing her brow in thought.
"What did you break? I'm sure it's replaceable, isn't it? And, if it's one of those days, just think that the day will be over soon, and then you can look back on today and be happy that today will then be yesterday, and tomorrow will be better."
Oh right, the picture. She had forgotten about it with all the worry over Kiara. Autumn tended to forget about a lot of things while busying over her child.
"It's not that it wasn't replacable or anything," she said quietly, looking at the ground with a bit of resentment in her eyes. "It was just that it was the only really good picture I have of me and my family together, and it broke all over the floor. Kind of like a sign or something."
When he said the part about tomorrow and the day after being happier than today, she grinned. He sounded kind of like one of those kids' TV shows she watched with Kiara where everyone was happy and bubbly all the time.
"You're starting to sound like the Wiggles, y'know. But they're british or something, not irish." she giggled, rolling her eyes.
