Perhaps it was due to the fact that misery loved company, but it wasn’t as if the blonde wanted others to be unhappy. She just hated her depression. It was moments like these where she actually missed the years of being a greedy whore because she wasn’t utterly happy, but she wasn’t miserable. She was sort of content, actually. She had sex, money, and could fake love. Life had never been better in years. Now it was ruined, and she was missing the old days and Luke, and she was embarrassed because she had quit a lot of her addictions for the sake of her dancing, but she needed something to distract her. She wanted to relax, not be found by a stranger sobbing like a child whose favorite toy had been confiscated. In a certain way, she did have something taken from her. She used to practically live on beer and drugs, but the latter she had gone through hell to quit, and the former she only had on occasion. She wasn’t about to have everything thrown right back in her face because she wanted a millisecond of relief, and at the moment, she wasn’t quite at the breaking point of needing to rummage through the belongings of others in hopes of finding something to keep her distracted yet. With a soft sigh, she brushed away a stray strand of her wavy hair, collapsing down onto the polished wooden floor with a soft plop. She drew her long legs up, wrapping her arms around them and resting her head against her knees. Aer had been hoping that things would change now that she was part of the tour, but it didn’t seem like much was different, seeing as she was still stuck in New York. She didn’t like who she was, and she didn’t like that she was still pining for a guy who entered and exited her life by whim. It was moments like these where she wished someone would come along and slap her into shape. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - STATUS: Complete TAGGED: Roxie WORDS: 351 LYRICS: B.O.B. & Hayley Williams NOTES: ----- CREDITS: Thanks to BUNNYA! at Caution 2.0

_______________________________________________ Storming offstage with all the fire of the Spanish stampeding bulls, Roxie mopped perspiration from her brow and growled angrily at nobody in particular. Barbie the Dyke had just finished a show but the fans had begged for an encore. Therefore, Roxie's ecstasy had worm off long before they were finished. She had played an extra 15 minutes in the middle of a crash. Now her head was pounding, she was sweating bullets and her saliva was frothy from dehydration.
Snatching a water bottle violently from an unlucky roadie, she burst through the backstage door and drained the water in one long, greedy gulp. Once she caught her breath she noticed Aeryn sitting by herself looking miserable. Roxie bit her lip and tried to calm her temper. Aer was like a little sister to Roxie, and there was no need to mistreat her because of some drugs wearing off. Had it been anyone else sitting there instead, Roxie wouldn't have hesitated to rip their head off.
She collapsed onto the couch next to the young blonde and helped herself to another bottle of water from the minifridge, taking her time to actually enjoy this one now that her throat wasn't burning.
"What's eatin' you?" she asked, attempting to tame her wild hair.

Music wasn’t exactly her life—that part was occupied by dancing and a certain boy that she didn’t want to name—but she did take a liking to the sound Barbie the Dyke produced. It wasn’t really something she could dance to, but she was able to bob her head to the beat. She was grateful that the audience had been especially rowdy that night and demanded an encore because it allowed her have a little more time to collect herself. The girls in the band all seemed tough, and she wanted to seem that way too. She had never been the strong person in the first place, but she didn’t want to feel especially weak throughout the tour. The petite blonde was a bit startled at the sound of the backstage door being violently flung open, she quickly tried to act like she was perfectly fine, but when she realized that it was only Roxie, she visibly relaxed and calmed down, slumping back into her crouched posture. She watched quietly as Roxie made her way onto the couch she was leaning against, drinking a bottle of water from the minifridge. She was relieved that it wasn’t another band member. Though she probably shouldn’t have been choosing favorites in a band she was supposed to love overall, but it couldn’t be hoped. The dark-haired young woman was like an older sister to her, and the fact that she tended to be protective over Aer was very much appreciated. “What’s eatin’ you?”She opened her mouth, ready to blurt out one of the lies she always had ready, but she just as quickly bit back her words. It felt wrong to lie to Roxie, of all people, and she wondered if the guilt was attributed to the fact that she had so often felt like she was an older sister of sorts, and lying to siblings also seemed wrong. She took a short moment to rephrase all the words in her mind before quietly asking, “Have you ever been in love before?”- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - STATUS: Complete TAGGED: Roxie WORDS: 357 LYRICS: B.O.B. & Hayley Williams NOTES: ----- CREDITS: Thanks to BUNNYA! at Caution 2.0

_______________________________________________ Taking another sip of her water idly, Roxie surveyed Aeryn. At first, she hadn't really expected the girl to come out and explain what was wrong because- honestly, who did that nowadays? It was all cover up and gossip and saving face. Nobody wanted to seem like a douche.
This was why Aer's response came as a bit of a surprise to Roxie, but it didn't catch her off guard. She was usually around to kick ass for Aer, look out for her and occasionally give her advice, so why should this time be any different? Nobody else was around, and Roxie certainly wasn't judgemental.
"Unfortunately I have," she replied, rolling the idea over in her head. "It's difficult, it's time consuming and it sucks when it doesn't work out. Who's the culprit?"
