To go through the checklist of her morning…she had her fingerless gloves, her leather jacket, her ripped up jeans, her band tee…what was she missing? Oh fuck! Zooming back to her bed she dug around in the covers until she tug out her black skullcap. Fuck, she had almost forgotten it and then she would have spazzed out later when she had remembered. She had been so exhausted the night before that she had crashed with it on and it had gotten tangled up in her sheets and crap to the point that she had almost forgotten it this morning. That would not have been okay. She didn’t always wear it but it was fucking chilly out and she didn’t want to be without it.
Tugging it on, she did her usual ritual of making sure her bangs weren’t then flattened so they went in her eyes, brushing the blond strands to the side to make them less of an annoyance. The rest she left out for once, rather than pulling it back like she usually did. Once more she did the mental once over, making sure she had it all. And, satisfied it was all there for once this time, she nodded to herself. Good to go. A grin lit up her face for a moment as she snagged a chocolate bar she had snagged off someone else, and out she was.
Popping her black headphones into her ears, and turning up the music to tune out the world, Isari Flyte was good to wander, like she did most days when she got bored and had nothing better to do. It amused her to just people watch, especially around the venue where people tended to be a bit…odd from time to time. It was amusing and distracting to say the least. And that was what the young girl needed or she’d be inside all day on her laptop and turning paler than a vampire. Which no one wanted, especially whoever tried to make a “Twilight” reference. Because she’d hurt whoever tried. Badly. Or, as badly as the barely five feet girl cold manage.
Remembering something, at the last minute, the girl turned around and went back to the bus, going back to her bed…and pulling something out from her bed. Her Sai. The little black kitten had been such a doll, she had been keeping him there, or with him, and he never complained or caused trouble. Besides, he was adorable. She settled him onto her shoulder and the little darling purred and stroped his face against hers in the way cats tended to do when they liked people. She scratched behind his ear and then she was good to go again.
She bobbed her head to the music as she walked, and bit into her chocolate, savoring its chocolate-y goodness, in a way only she could. Or other chocoholics could, but she liked to think she was special from time to time, not that that was a bad thing, was it? She didn’t think so. Or at least, she hoped it wasn’t.
She cursed softly to herself. Fuck! She had forgotten to call her parents. Again. They were going to have a shit fit with her if she didn’t fucking get herself together and remember to call them. She debated pulling a headphone out to call them right now, but wasn’t sure they would be home. It was like, the middle of the day, and both of her parents worked. Fuck. She’d have to remember to do it later, or bug someone to remind her. In the end she sighed, pulled out her phone, and texted her father. ”Love you both, caught up in work. I’ll call tonight, promise” She tapped out quickly and sent it. She didn’t expect a reply, being that he was in work. But maybe if she did this the shit fit wouldn’t happen? Or at least it would lessen it a little bit. That was worth bothering.
Satisfied, she nodded and put away her phone, returning to her wandering about. Pausing once, to watch a person do something…something that she could only describe as weird. She shook her head and kept going. This was why she didn’t interact with people much. They were weird.
Finally, she managed to find a spot that was pretty clear of people, but still had a good view of a crowd or two. And once there, she plopped herself down. She had her cat, she had her chocolate, she had her music, what more could a girl want? She closed her eyes briefly, very happy with herself. She knew she’d probably be interrupted sooner or later, but until that moment, she was calm as all hell.
