Ally shivered as she walked into Ghiacco. It was snowing outside and she was freezing cold. Her purple designer boots clacked against the floor as she made her way to the registered. The smell of fresh coffee and the warmth of the store instantly made her warm and happy. With a soft smile she tucked strands of hair behind her ear and said, "one coffee please, with a hint of hazelnut."
Waiting, she became lost in her thought. The plastic was thinking about how the school year was going so far. It seemed fun enough to make her want to finish high school here at least. With a nice warm coffee in hand she walked towards an empty table near a conner. Taking a sip of the coffee she was greeted by the scent of hazelnut and the sweetness it produced. Ally took her iPod out and tuned out from the busy crowd around her. Turning to the fogged window she took the sleeve of her sweater and wiped it off. Seeing the snow fall gently it was calm and peaceful. She loved the snow and how beautiful it was, even if it was cold to touch.
Untouched snow contained beauty that Ally loved. It was pure and breathtaking, giving her the memories of when she was younger. She would spend hours looking at the snow as the family's dog ran around making indentions in it. While other kids played and tossed snowballs, Ally would sit and watch. She was quite abnormal until she adapted to becoming someone who fitted in with the "crowd". Following the latest trends and getting whatever was popular, in time she became a plastic, and she planned to stay in power.
She drew her attention from the window and took out her book. She had to finish reading it to prepare for her test, no matter how blonde she was, she was a honor student. Letting out a sigh Ally began to read.

how did you get here: Boredom settled into me, in the small town I lived in everyone knew your name and your business, and I mean everyone. My dad was a writer that could only get his books published in the local bookstores. My mom, well, she died a little over two years ago from cancer. I was distraught over it, but my dad, he was a pure wreck after her death. Soon, her dad was barely making enough money, since he refused to write, stating that he lost his muse. I dropped most of my music lessons only keeping my lessons for bass and piano. I love music, my mom inspired me and it made me happy. My dad said he loved my playing and that it was as good as mom's.
Though I love my dad, and the town, I was tired of it. People would whisper about the "poor thing, and how she lost her mother." It annoyed me, I never quite liked pity and being in a house that was draped in sadness, it just pushed me over the edge. My grades were so poor that I was barely accepted into any of the colleges I applied to. So, I went out to pave my own little adventure. With my dad's encouragement and the money I had from teaching little kids music, I went to explore New York. I was stuck in a tiny town, while the rest of New York was seemed so far away. While traveling town to town, and city to city, I stumbled across a band who need a bass player and well, here I am.
