When the brute grabbed Malakai by the shirt, Kai could feel the heat from the guy's hands against his own, cold skin. However, it was a certain smell on the guy that made the hair on Malakai's neck stand on end.

The smell of a werewolf.

Malakai's icy grip on the bar tightened when the mohawked guy let him go and stormed out, Corey telling him off. Oh yeah, there was something going on there, but it was no concern to him.

But who was the werewolf?

He was still thinking intently about it when Corey apologized and offered to buy him another drink, but he shook his head and gestured at the bartender.

"Oh no, it was my fault that it happened in the first place," he answered apologetically, mind still on the smell.

Ordering another round of drinks for those who's drinks had been victim to his icy assault, he smirked and brushed some of the frost off the top of his hand. Handing her a cranberry vodka and sipping his own new red russian, his eyes darted along the bar to where the mohawked guy had been sitting.

A girl and a boy sat nearby where the random guy had been, and as soon as he scanned their eyes he knew: the girl with the golden eyes was the werewolf. He couldn't help it, his lip pulled back instinctually to reveal gleaming fangs as he figured it out. Figures that he'd have to be stuck in a room with two fire-throwers and a werewolf.

"Sorry, I'm a little distracted. This is quite the interesting environment," Kai stated, trying to tear his eyes away from the dog..

how did you get here: How did I get here? That's kind of a dumb question. I was born here. Lived my entire life in Chicago, and before GNS I had barely left. I grew up in nice house on the outskirts of the city with my dad and my two younger sisters, and my life was always pretty great. I married my high school sweetheart Gemma when we were both 21, and she got pregnant with our baby girl when we were 23, about the time I got involved with GNS. Things couldn't have been better, until fate decided to deal me a different hand.

I was driving Gemma home from visiting her parents and telling them the news that she was having a girl in about 4 months. They'd even suggested a few names, and we were driving home happy. That was when a drunk driver swerved into our lane on an icy night and collided with us, going about 60.

Gemma died that night, and so did my love for basically anything. Diving into GNS has been my distraction aside from going to bars, but I don't really care.

I don't care about much these days.
