The girl sat one heel on diagonal corners before sitting down and fidgeting with the straw fedora on her head. A small orange bunny crawled into her lap, before curling up. She was irrationally nervous, worried about little things that she rarely, if ever, worried about like her make-up or her outfit. "It's just nerves, Rachel," she told herself. "Right Rocky?" she asked the bunny. Rachel smoothed out the bottom of her white dress for the six hundredth time before reaching into the picnic basket beside her and pulling out her phone.
She pulled up her contacts list, smiling as the name she wanted appeared. The nineteen year old hit the "talk" button as she laid down on her stomach on the quilt. It rang several times before going to voicemail. A frown appeared on her face before she started to talk. "Hey Myq," she smiled in her normal Southern accent. "I need you to come to the park like soon. Like in maybe fifteen-twenty minutes? Pretty please? Thanks! Love ya. Bye!" Rachel hit the "end" button and rolled onto her back.
The girl wanted to surprise him with a picnic, since they hadn't exactly gone out like they had planned for a first date. Her light blue denim jacket was laying beside her, though she doubted that she'd need it. It was great that Myq was a vegetarian like she was . That way she didn't have to make him something different, and she wouldn't feel bad for being with someone who ate those poor farm animals.
Her hair was down, pinned back loosely so it was out of eyes. Rachel dragged out her iPod, looking down at the rabbit in her lap. She put in her earphones, flipping through her songs. Music always made waiting more bearable.

© little white lie !? Myq hated being serious about things. People that were serious were never fun, and he pretty much was the epitome of fun, and awesomeness. He liked just goofing off and playing pranks on people; growing up, he was scolded for such things, but he did it anyway. He was nothing like what his parents wanted him to be. His brothers were awesome drummers but even better baseball players. Myq sucked at sports, and found much more pleasure in playing guitar than anything else. He was, more or less, the black sheep of his family.
Not to say that his parents weren't proud of where and what he is doing now. They would just rather him become a lawyer or a dentist or something that they think would be 'worthwhile'. As he stood in the shower getting ready for the day, he almost laughed at the thought of them. His parents were indeed supportive but not willingly, and he was fine with that. Besides, look at the wonderful girl he had met on this journey. She was a sweet little number, not to mention probably one of the hottest girls he'd ever met. His parents would probably like her, he thought. Once they get past the fact that she has purple hair, is a roadie for another band, and is also vegetarian.
Myq got out of the shower and quickly dressed. He had to be at band practice in ten minutes, and seeing as he had woken up only five minutes before the shower he didn't have time to waste thinking about his highly disapproving parents. He loved his life; everything was right, everything was good. Everything was as it should be. He got to band practice just on time, set his phone to silent and so went an hour of his day. They were supposed to practice for two, but Glass Rhinos didn't really need much practice. They hadn't been together for long but hell, they were damn good. He leaned his bass against a wall and stretched. Okay, he was serious for an hour already and that was much more than he usual did.
He walked over to Tyler and playfully and lightly punched him in the arm. This began a little wrestling match between the two, but that was normal. They had been friends since Myq moved to Miami when he was sixteen. They lost touch for a little while after high school but that didn't stop them. As soon as they talked again it was like nothing had changed. After about twenty minutes they stopped, and as they all began to pack up their things he checked his phone. His screen read 'One missed call from Rachel - seven minutes ago'.
He quickly checked his voice mail, smiling as her voice rang through his ears. "Hey Myq. I need you to come to the park like soon. Like in maybe fifteen-twenty minutes? Pretty please? Thanks! Love ya. Bye!" He grinned, putting the phone back into his pocket. Fifteen-twenty minutes? For her, he'd be anywhere in three. He said see ya laters to his band and set off to the park.
He arrived at the park ten minutes later, glancing around. Where was she? He looked to his left and quickly spotted the tiny, purple-haired girl on a blue plaid quilt. He smiled, walking over to her. "It took me forever to find you," he joked. "There are just so many girls here with purple hair and a little orange bunny." He petted the bunnies' head before leaning in and kissing Rachel softly. He smiled. "So what is this? A little picnic in the park? I like it."

k i s s m e o n t h e s i d e w a l kt a k e a w a y t h e p a i n b e c a u s e i s e e[ SPARKS FLY ]- - - - - - - - - - Rachel glanced around the park, tapping on her lap to the rhythm of her music habitually. The purple haired girl grinned as soon as she saw Myq, pulling out her earphones. "Hey!" she smiled, hugging him around his neck. "Oh I know! Thus why I wore my hat! Though because of this, I'll just have to dye my hair another color. Pink maybe?" She gave him a sharp nod as if the answer was the key to life. Rocky nipped at his hand, causing Rachel to chuckle quietly. "He doesn't like being ignored by people, especially those who only give a small amount attention and then ignore him. And you're ignoring him," she chuckled, setting the small lop-eared rabbit on the quilt.
The girl shook her head, laying down on her stomach and propping her head up on her arms, her face going completely blank of emotions. "Nope, this most certainly is not a little picnic. Rocky and I are sacrificing you to the gods," she said in a serious tone, a small smirk spreading across her face. "Of course it's picnic!" she giggled, rolling her eyes. "I'm glad you like it, though. I just hope you like what I made to eat," she smiled, taking her hat off. She sat it beside her and sighed.
Carefully, the nineteen year old girl rolled onto her back to stare at the sky. "I'm glad the weather allowed this. I love picnics," she grinned, looking at Myq. "And I love you. Like, a lot. A ton in fact!" She giggled and closed her eyes. "Ugh, I'm sorry," she blushed, sitting back up and fixing her dress. "I'm rambling again. It's a terrible habit. So.... How are you, honey? I haven't seen you in a while."

© little white lie !? Myq smiled at the girl. She was gorgeous beyond words, and incredibly sweet. At first, he figured she'd e just another girl to him; after all he was bound to meet a whole bunch of sluts and whores on the tour. But she had made it very clear that she wasn't just another fling - she was more of a relationship type of girl. He liked that. He also liked that she had said it pretty much as soon as they had met.
He wrapped his arms around her tightly when they hugged. There was something about being around her that made him feel good. And, although he'd never admit it to anyone, he got butterflies when he saw her. It seemed like such a childish thing to feel, but he felt it. He pretended to think. "Pink? Well I don't know, I mean if you get rid of the purple you could lose your hotness." He was joking, of course. Rachel was still hot, whether she had pink hair or was bald. He looked down at the rabbit, feeling a little bite at his hand. He gave the animal a mock scary face. "I shall ignore as I please!" The scary look was gone and replaced with a chuckle. "It's so hard to just ignore him, though." He patted Rocky's head.
Myq raised his eyebrows. "A sacrifice? Oh, shit. I wish you would have told me, I wouldn't have worn one of my favorite shirts. But the gods will be getting one hell of a sexy sacrifice." He grinned. He may sound conceited, and the fact in point is that he was. Not excessively, but he knew that he was good looking as well as talented. So why pretend that he wasn't?
He grinned as she began speaking, or 'rambling' as she put it. Myq watched her carefully, noticing every little thing that she was doing. He chuckled, leaning in close to her face. "Listen," he said, "I love when you ramble. I think it's fucking hot." He smirked a little, kissing her. When he pulled away, he laid down on his side, his head resting on his head. "I'm good, but like always, better now that I'm with you." He winked at her. "How about you? How are you today, lovely?"
